Policies

At The Smile Center of New Jersey, we are committed to providing exceptional dental care while ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients and staff. Our policies reflect this commitment and focus on the latest health standards and accommodating financial options.

Sickness, Flu, & COVID-19 Safety Measures

The Smile Center of New Jersey diligently follows the best practices recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA). We prioritize the health and safety of our patients and team, implementing the latest guidelines on hygiene, patient screening, and office procedures.

If you feel that you are sick, please call to reschedule as soon as possible to avoid cancellation fees.

Appointment Cancellation & Lateness

We value the time we've reserved for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may be cancelled. If you need to reschedule, we kindly ask for 48 hours of advance notice to avoid a $50 charge. We understand that life is unpredictable, and exceptions can be made on an individual basis depending on the circumstances.

Financial Policy

Understanding and accommodating your financial needs is an important part of our service. Before treatment, we provide a detailed breakdown of all fees and inform you of all costs. We offer a variety of payment methods, including major credit cards (Visa, Discover, MasterCard, and AMEX) and a CareCredit plan for eligible patients. If special arrangements are needed, please speak with an office manager prior to receiving service.

Note: We will submit all insurance claims for you in an attempt to maximize your insurance benefits. However, you are personally responsible for your account and we encourage you to contact us if your policy has not been paid within 30 days.

Insurance Policy

Maximizing your insurance benefits is a key part of our commitment to you. Due to the wide variation in insurance policies, we can provide only an estimate of your coverage, not a guarantee. Your estimated share of the cost for treatment is required at the time of service. We bill insurance companies for our services and allow them a 45-day period for payment. After 60 days, the full balance becomes your responsibility. Our team is available to address any questions or concerns you may have about your insurance coverage.

Notice of Privacy Practices

The following notice describes how we may use and disclose your PHI for treatment, payment, healthcare operations, and for other purposes that are permitted or required by law. It also describes your rights to access and control your PHI. You may review our notice here.
