I graduated from West Liberty University, WV in 1996 with an A.S. in Science in Dental Hygiene, and my Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1997. I have been doing dental hygiene for 19 years. I am proud to be a part of a high quality, ethical practice with a multitude of very talented professionals. I enjoy working with both special needs adults and children and will do whatever it takes to make them comfortable in the dental office! In 2011 I earned my Certificate for Local Anesthesia Administration! During my career, while continuing to practice clinically, I branched out and spent 5 years as a Dental Health Educator through the Dept. of Health and Senior Services in Burlington and Camden County . This was a great experience as I was able to outreach to high risk communities providing school assemblies, parents training and dental health education in a variety of community settings. At Burlington County College Dept. Of Dental Hygiene, I spent a few semesters as a Clinical Instructor, and taught a few courses at BCIT, in the Dental Assisting Program on my days off from the office.
I think it's important for our profession to have a positive role in the community and I have organized our participation in Give Kids A Smile Day the last five years, which we donated over $60,000 in dental services to underprivelaged children. I facilitated our participation with the Head & Neck Cancer Alliance to provide Free Oral Cancer Screenings for Oral Cancer Awareness Month for the public as a non-profit site volunteer. I am happy to give a Girl Scout Tour or speak at a community function. In my spare time I also run our Facebook page, admin our website and do marketing material..
I have been married for 16 years and have 3 beautiful girls, Maija, Isabella & Sophia. I have 3 dogs, all are rescues from the shelter. My girls love to go to the beach, play field hockey, musical and help with various cancer charity events. I love to run, have run 13 marathons and four ultra marathons and I love to be outdoors in nature!
